Ranch dressing is a staple for kids and adults alike, and is often a tough condiment to find if you are sensitive to dairy or lactose intolerant. Avoid and gastrointestinal suffering and make your own instead! This simple homemade ranch dressing is not only delicious and incredibly easy to make, but it is also gluten free and dairy free.
INGREDIENTS
1 egg
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground mustard
3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup milk alternative
1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp pepper
2 tsp fresh dill
2 tsp fresh parsley
2 tsp fresh chives
DIRECTIONS
In a food processor or small blender, pulse the egg, salt, ground mustard, and 1/4 cup of olive oil until combined. Very slowly add the rest of the olive oil until well mixed.
Once combined, transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in the milk alternative, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, dill, parsley, and chives. Whisk until well combined.
Cover and refrigerate for 60 minutes to allow the flavors to marinate and the sauce to thicken. Enjoy!
