As a Stark student, you’re automatically assigned a health coach. Our transformative health coaching service can also be subscribed to, virtually, anywhere in the U.S., integrating with your favorite form of exercise.

I started having a lot of pain, I started not being able to stay in shape, I gained weight, and lost track of how to keep myself healthy. I needed something to change, something to help. Now I am learning how to care for my body in a different way- it's been eye opening for me. When you get older and your body changes, you have to respect how to take care of it the best way possible, and I’ve learned that here.
I always looked at [health] as all of one thing or another, and I never really did a good job with focusing on balance. It's a balance of what I put in my body, the work I put out through exercise, and the recovery in between. Focusing on those three things feels like it has made [all my progress] possible.
What Stark did for me was bring everything together. Everything in the program, and everything in the whole company, is interconnected together. So my training program is tailored exactly to me, my nutrition program is tailored exactly to me. Because of all the work we do with the doctors and bloodwork, we can tailor my program to what's going to suit me. Outside of the gym, I now have more self confidence, and I have more determination to achieve the things I want to achieve.
Stark is a full cycle service - so learning about having the right sleep, having the right stress level, working out, and eating the right food really helped.

What is a health coach? What do they do?
Stark’s health coaches are here to teach you about the various components of your health and guide you towards a better understanding of how each factor impacts your personal goals and health. In addition to education and accountability, our health coaches will also assist you in getting the most out of the various health services Stark has to offer.

What are macros? How do you personalize these?"Macros" are the large scale nutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, and fats) that are essential for all human functions and processes. Macronutrients are recommended based off a number of different factors such as activity level your health goals, and body composition breakdown according to your DEXA scan.

I already have a goal- do I need a health coach?
Having a goal is the first step in reaching a goal, but it doesn't stop there. A health coach helps facilitate the action plan necessary to move towards reaching that specific goal; making it tangible, repeatable, and eventually a part of your lifestyle.

Will you give me a meal plan?
While we don't provide meal plans, we do provide examples of what an ideal day of eating looks like or guidance on choosing the best foods for you. When it comes to nutrition, we know the best plan is to personalized to the individual. Your preferences, food sensitivities, energy needs, goals, and more all play a role in optimizing your nutrition, so there isn’t a specific plan that will work for everyone. Stark’s health coaches take this approach as equipping and supporting you with sustainable habits that can be maintain throughout your life is essential for short term success and long term health.

I don’t like meal preps- can you still help me?
Meal prep services are not something we require or even recommend unless it benefits your lifestyle. Health coach recommendations are influenced by the goals you have set for yourself, so their primary job is to assist you in identifying and practicing sustainable habits that work for you!
